AWS re/Start is a free, full-time skills development program to jump-start your career in cloud computing. A technology background is not required, and the program is focused on people in Wales aged 18+ who are unemployed and keen to re-train.
You’ll learn all the essentials for a successful career in cloud computing. There are lots of exciting opportunities in this field of technology, and qualified cloud engineers are in high demand. The course covers everything from coding languages and technical knowledge to employment skills that will help you achieve your potential. At the end of the program, you’ll take your AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification exam.

DevOpsGroup Academy has teamed up with AWS re/Start to offer this tuition online. Through practical training, workshops and coursework, you’ll gain all the necessary skills for an entry-level cloud role. You’ll also develop wider professional skills such as adaptive communication, time management and CV building, as well as support in preparing for employer meetings and interviews.
At the end of the course, we will connect you with companies that are hiring cloud engineers and other similar roles. We’ll also support you through the job application process, and help you transition into working life.

We’ll help you prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam; AWS covers the cost of the exam itself.
We’ll provide CV and interview coaching to help you prepare for employer meetings and interviews.
Cloud computing is a way of accessing computing resources via the internet. It means businesses only use what they need when they need it, so it’s more cost-efficient than traditional computing. It also offers new and more effective ways for businesses to manage computer-based processes and software development.
So, what is ‘the cloud’? When people talk about the cloud, they’re generally referring to hyperscale cloud computing providers (such as AWS).
